Why is the data entry form for the current reporting period locked in DATIM?

For MER, data entry close indicates that all Implementing Mechanisms are moved to the "Accepted by Global" level regardless of their level in the OU (i.e. OU teams can no longer edit data). Only one reporting period at a time is available for entry in DATIM. Please ensure the data submission deadline has not been reached for the period which you are attempting to enter data for by viewing the PEPFAR Data Calendar.

Additionally, data entry can be locked in advance of the submission deadline if the mechanism has been accepted by the level above in the Data Approval Process.
